Biography
Levi Brown, composer, producer, recording engineer, and label manager is well-known for his years immersed in the world of classical and jazz music production. In his years as Production Director for PARMA Recordings, Levi oversaw countless recording sessions, ranging from full orchestra productions, to solo instrumental recordings, and everything in between. Under the mentorship of renowned classical music recording engineer and producer Brad Michel, Levi has developed a fine-tuned approach to recording acoustic and symphonic instruments, and conducting a recording session.
Highlights include a GRAMMY nomination for Best Gospel Album with multi-platinum artist CeCe Winans (62rd Annual GRAMMY Awards), a GRAMMY win for Best Immersive Audio Album with Leslie Ann Jones and the United States Army Field Band (63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards), and contributing to the planning, production, and release of author Dan Brown’s “Wild Symphony.”
Levi received his Bachelor of Music in Composition and an Associated of Applied Science in Music Production for McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN. While there, he had the opportunity to learn from seasoned film composer and orchestrator Sean McMahon, acclaimed arranger Adi Yeshaya (Whitney Houston, Prince, Aretha Franklin), and composer Jay Fuchs.
Throughout his career, Levi has collaborated with groups and organizations including, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, AIR Studios, Skywalker Sound, Oktaven Audio, Futura Productions, Shalin Liu Performance Center, Carnegie Hall, Vox Futura, The Crossing Choir, Kuhn Mixed Choir of Prague, Sirius Quartet, Ovidiu Marinescu, Anna Kislitsyna, Thomas Mesa, Fischer Duo, Moonkyung Lee, Randall Hodgkinson, and many more.
Residing in Southern Maine, Levi spends much of his time on the water, out in nature, and developing his music services firm Evergreen Music Services.
